If you’ve ever travelled to other countries, you may have had to fill out one of those immigration forms (before you depart and when you land) and handed it over to customs. The process can be a pain sometimes when you have to write out details like your Passport information and the address at which you are staying.
With this Mobile Passport app however, it seems it will help relieve some of those pain points.
Users of the app can submit their passport control and customs declaration information via their smartphone devices and bypass the regular line to enter the United States. When users log into the app, they complete their profile with basic passport information and answer some questions about their trip.
After all is said and done, they submit their information online and get a receipt. This allows them to skip the regular line. They scan their receipt and show their passport to an officer for confirmation.
Why Aren’t We Building This?
Like I said before, filling out your flight info when you’re flying back into the country can be a pain. So why isn’t someone here in Ghana building this? Or maybe they are and I haven’t caught wind of them?
Still, can someone start work on this? Get a concept and maybe push it to the guys at Ghana Airport and Immigration? This would absolutely be a cool idea which will save frequent fliers in and out of the country a lot of headaches.
I’m all for convenience and tension free flying. So if you’re reading this and know someone who can get this done, maybe steal this idea and get started.
Because seriously, why aren’t we building this….?
