With this AI research center, Google plans to bring together researchers and engineers dedicated to AI research and its applications. It will collaborate with local universities and research centers as well as working with policymakers on the potential uses of AI in Africa.
Accra will join the list of Google AI centers including Paris, Zurich, Tokyo, Beijing, Montreal, Toronto, Seattle, Cambridge/Boston, Tel Aviv/Haifa, New York, and San Francisco.
