Welcome To Tech Nova 3.0

Welcome to Tech Nova 3.0.

In 2017, Tech Nova was launched with a simple mission: Cover the world of technology in Ghana and give it more depth for readers.

In line with this mission, the Tech Nova website was launched with a very simple and clean interface because we wanted to focus more on content and stories.

Previous design

Today, we’re sticking with the mission of covering technology in Ghana but we have done a couple of upgrades to our visual style while still focusing on content.

New Site Design

Today we’re unveiling a new site design. It’s still the same minimal design and it’s still clean as ever.

We’ve also done some behind the scenes clean up of our content and links to make everything more organised and efficient.

As far as infrastructure, we considered different options when it came to our CMS (Tech Nova currently runs on WordPress). We decided to stick with WordPress because of familiarity but also what we wanted to achieve with other CMS platforms weren’t available at the time.

Believe me, we have grand visions for what we want Tech Nova to be but we currently can’t scale to that point as of yet. But those plans are still in the works.

New Vision

Also, we have a new vision that we think you should definitely look at.

With the new vision, we have a couple of new rules in place on what will run on Tech Nova:

  • We will no longer accept submissions/press releases/events that do not have a theme connected to the Ghana tech ecosystem or African tech ecosystem.
  • No more press releases which are not informational/newsworthy or have any bearing on what is occurring in the tech ecosystem at large.
  • We no longer accept press releases which have “promotional” material in them. All posts or articles with those materials will be regarded as “Marketing/Sponsored” articles and they will attract a small fee for publication.

Lastly, if you haven’t heard: Tech Nova is now part of the Labari Media Group. It’s still early days but expect more “public” work such as events and other content in the near future as we work on more things behind the scenes.

Welcome to Tech Nova 3.0. We hope you like it and keep supporting our efforts.
