The Government has officially launched the Ghana National Electronic Pharmacy Platform (GNEPP). The platform was launched today after a successful pilot which began in July 2022.

The platform is commissioned by the Pharmacy Council of Ghana and other agencies to facilitate safe and secure access to medications and pharmaceutical services in Ghana from internet based applications such as online pharmacies, websites, social media and e-commerce platforms.

Features Of The Platform

Users can use the platform to find which pharmacies in their area have their needed medicine and compare the prices of the medicines across different pharmacies. They can also upload their prescriptions through the platform or via a USSD code.

Users will be able to order for their medicine online, make online payments, and have it delivered at home through your digital address or pick it up.

ePharmacy platforms can register their apps or solutions through the platform online.

A mobile app for the ePharmacy platform is also in the works.
