MTN Continues To Dominate The Mobile Data Space With 69% Market Share

According to the latest data from the National Communications Authority (NCA), MTN Ghana currently holds a 69.72% share of mobile data subscriptions in Ghana with 16,514,507 subscribers.

The rest of the pack includes Vodafone with 8,035,817 subscribers (19.59% market share), AirtelTigo – 7,691,205 subscribers (18.75%), and Glo – 804,890 subscribers (1.96% marketshare)

In other areas including mobile and voice, MTN still controls the market with 59.7% share (24,485,910 subscribers).

MTN Is Also Dominating The 4G Space

When it comes to the 4G space, MTN Ghana is dominating heavily with a 75.18% capture of the 4G market with 5,580,917 subscribers.

The close second was Vodafone with 1,793,190 subscribers and Surfline with 40,347 subscribers.

Other players in the 4G space including Busy and Telesol all had market share which was less than 1%.
